Despite working hard every day to support his family, Bok Dong is not loved by his father. He sees him as a family employee and dedicates all the best to his second son studying in Seoul. But the pure and warm heart of Bok Dong still loves his father and two younger brothers. The biggest turning point in the life of this poor farmer started when his father beat a battle to survive because he lost his family’s precious bicycle while buying shoes for his father.

Um Bok Dong decides to go to Seoul at night, hoping to find a job to make money to buy a bicycle. But life is not a dream and this farmer has suffered a lot. However, it was this reckless decision that helped him write his name in the history of the Republic of Korea.

The King of the Track: Um Bok Dong begins with slow motion pictures depicting the life of Bok Dong from the days of carrying water and arranging rice in his hometown. Then is the training process to become a professional racing driver. From here the rhythm of the film was pushed higher, evolved faster and more thrillingly with the presence of Hyung-shin – the patriotic female soldier with brave heart and her comrades.

The audience will understand Bok Dong’s hardships during the practice of racing, also see the ugliness of the Japanese when they colonized Korea. As a result, more respect for the efforts of the small revolutionary soldiers, despite their lives to destroy bad people and awaken others in society.

Director Kim Yoo-sung brought a good film, boldly depicting Bok Dong’s legendary “lifting people from the saddle” and urging the will to fight and boil to protect the country of more than 20 million Korean people at that time.

The film still has some errors, such as the lengthy opening of the film, some slightly abusive images. However, the racing king: Um Bok Dong has brought a good work about the man who conquers the speed of Um Bok Dong.

Actors and actors
Taking on the lead role of Um Bok Dong in the drama, Bi Rain had to practice endlessly for a month. Every day pedal to 20,000km and suffered countless injuries when recreating the difficulties of Bok Dong hero when practicing driving. His efforts have brought a completely different image to the films he has starred in before. Stubborn face, innocent smile and the will to fight boiled for the honor of the country.

Kang Sora will play the revolutionary female soldier Hyung-shin in the movie. The face was devoid of emotion, so the depths of his heart boiled his hatred for the Japanese enemy and his will to fight evil to the very last breath. The action scenes in the film are well done, definitive, skillful and extremely accurate.

The supporting character line also has enough land to perform and show its role in the film. The audience will see a father too cruel but in the end he always loved his son, the brave revolutionary soldiers fighting to the last breath … All contributed to increase the attractiveness and attraction for movie

Sound and image
Racing King: Um Bok Dong has given the audience very impressive images of the struggle of revolutionary soldiers, dramatic and choking race even with only rudimentary bicycles. The explosive images in the film are also very realistic. Combined with the well-handled sound, contributing to arousing the emotions of the audience while watching the movie.
